We hired summer help.

Before anyone panics, no, we are not sending a high schooler to diagnose your air conditioner alone while Jason sits in the van eating Casey’s pizza.

He wanted to see if HVAC might be a career for him, so we’re showing him the real stuff: tools, safety, basic maintenance, dirty A/C units, and why “it worked yesterday” is somehow always true.

Everything is supervised. Everything is checked.

This A/C in Waconia looked normal from the outside and was still operating, but during the inspection we found mice had moved into the insulated sound blanket around the compressor.

That blanket is there from the manufacturer to help reduce noise, but it can also become a cozy hiding spot if mice find their way in. Once we dug deeper, we found nesting material and debris that could have led to bigger problems if it went unchecked.

This is why a real A/C tune-up is more than “turn it on and see if it cools.” We inspect the unit, check electrical parts, look for airflow issues, and help catch problems before they turn into expensive repairs.
