For more than a century, Graniterock has helped build the foundations that connect California.
From local streets to major highways, infrastructure plays a role in nearly every journey we take, even if we rarely stop to think about it.
What many people don't realize is that the operation seen here traces its roots back to 1936, when Graniterock built California's first asphaltic concrete plant. Nearly 90 years later, the same site continues producing the materials that help build and maintain the roads, highways and transportation networks our communities rely on every day.
While the equipment has evolved, the purpose remains the same: helping keep California connected.
