Today, Aztec Power was honored to host congressional candidate Sydney Gruters for a small business and community tour across Hardee County.

The tour highlighted many of the businesses, organizations, and industries that help drive our local economy and support the future of rural Florida. Stops included Aztec Power, Hardee County School District Office, Growers Real Estate, Caloosa Outfitters, First National Bank of Wauchula, Hardee County Chamber of Commerce, Heartland Growers Supply, Coldwell Banker, Extreme Cutz Barbershop , AdventHealth Wauchula, Mosaic, and Top Notch Construction .

Sydney took time to listen, ask questions, and learn more about the opportunities and challenges facing our communities, workforce, healthcare providers, agriculture industry, and local businesses.

Sydney Gruters has been endorsed by President Donald Trump, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Senator Rick Scott, and locally by Hardee County Sheriff Vent Crawford. She also has the full support and endorsement of Aztec Power President and CEO Thomas Treviño and the Aztec Power team.

Aztec Power is proud to stand behind Sydney Gruters and her vision for Florida’s 16th Congressional District. Strong leadership, support for infrastructure and energy development, economic growth, and advocacy for rural communities are critical to the future of our region.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed the group today and helped showcase the strength and spirit of Hardee County!

Aztec Power is more than just a company, it's a family. And we are grateful for the people who show up, support one another, and represent our values across every project and every community we serve.

To our entire team: thank you for the work you do and the pride you bring to the Aztec Power name.

Today, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we pause to honor a man whose legacy continues to challenge and inspire our communities to be better, fairer, and more united.

Dr. King reminded us that real progress is built through service, compassion, and a commitment to one another. His words still ring true today:

“Everybody can be great, because anybody can serve.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

At Aztec Power, we believe strong communities are built when people show up for one another, work with integrity, and lead with purpose. Today, we reflect on Dr. King’s vision and recommit ourselves to serving our community with respect, humility, and action.

May we all continue striving toward understanding, unity, and meaningful progress — not just today, but every day.
