This video is a perfect example of what I run into on a daily basis. These low-profile roof caps can build up with a ton of lint, restricting airflow and eventually becoming completely clogged. This one even had a bird’s nest inside.

Even the shortest dryer vent runs can be surprising! 😳

This one was a super short run directly to the outside wall, but a loose connection behind the dryer was causing lint and exhaust fumes to blow right into the laundry room.

Just goes to show—it doesn’t have to be a long or complicated vent run to cause problems. Sometimes it’s something as simple as a loose connection hidden behind the dryer.

But if your dryer vent exits through the roof, NOW is a great time to get it cleaned.

Once the snow and ice arrive, getting onto a roof can become dangerous — and sometimes we simply can't safely access it.

🚨 Super clogged dryer vent!

This customer had never had their dryer vent cleaned, and the vent terminates all the way up on the roof. Just look at how much lint came out! 😳

This is why I recommend having your dryer vent cleaned once a year, every year. A clogged vent can cause longer drying times, put extra strain on your dryer, and increase the risk of a dryer fire.

This one definitely wasn't your typical vent cover replacement. 😅
The old vent had been knocked loose during a storm and was barely hanging on. Once I removed it, I found a much bigger opening than expected and years of old caulk.
Cleaned it up, secured the new vent, and sealed everything up. Sometimes you just have to work with what you've got. 👊

Really liking how much gear I can fit into these detachable pockets. Everything I use the most stays right on me instead of making constant trips back to the van. Drill, impact, flashlight, tape measure, hand tools, hardware... there's a spot for everything.

Looking forward to putting these through a lot more real-world jobs and seeing how they hold up over time.

First day putting my new Blåkläder workwear to the test! 💪

As a dryer vent cleaner, my clothes take a beating every single day. I'm constantly climbing ladders, kneeling, crawling, and carrying tools, so I'm always looking for gear that can keep up.

🚨 If you see birds flying in and out of your vents... don't ignore it.
What starts as a few twigs can quickly turn into a completely blocked vent, poor airflow, longer drying times, mold, damaged ductwork, and even a fire hazard in dryer vents.
I install professional bird guards and clean out dryer vents and bathroom exhaust vents before it becomes an expensive repair.

⚠️ This is one of the nastiest bathroom vent jobs I've ever seen... 🤢🐦

The homeowner called with an emergency after maggots started falling out of the bathroom exhaust vent grille.

The cause? Birds had gotten into the bathroom vent, destroyed the ductwork inside the wall, built multiple nests, and one of the birds died near the exhaust fan. That quickly turned into a breeding ground for maggots, along with an awful smell throughout the bathroom.

The homeowner had no choice but to seal the vent off until it could be repaired.

Luckily I was able to make it out the same day, remove all of the nests and debris, repair the damaged ductwork, install the proper protection, and get their bathroom vent working safely again. 💪

Birds in bathroom vents aren't just noisy—they can destroy ductwork, block airflow, create terrible odors, attract insects, and turn into a major health hazard.

Don't ignore the signs. If you hear birds in your vents, get them taken care of before it turns into this.
