Happy WIC Week!

This Women in Construction Week, we’re proud to recognize four outstanding leaders (left to right) from Zignego Company, Inc.:

Laura M. – In her 10th year, Laura is the “go-to” person who keeps operations running smoothly. As Office Manager, she oversees IT, coordinates Hotline requests, and supports project and upper management, all while being a proud mom of two.

Sophia Z. – Now in her second year, Sophia supports project management, overseeing QMP and materials coordination. She brings a strong background in Human Resources Management and is excited for her upcoming summer wedding!

Ivetta Z. – Entering her 5th year, Ivey recently earned her associate degree and continues to grow her role in accounting and materials trucking. Construction runs in the family, with multiple relatives connected to the company.

Amanda C. – Joining in 2025 as Bidding Coordinator, Amanda brings a unique background in biology and research & development. She’s also a proud aunt who loves visiting her nieces in Puerto Rico.

We’re proud to celebrate these incredible women for their dedication, leadership, and impact on our industry.

What a wonderful event to celebrate Women in Construction Week! ABC partnered up with NAWIC Milwaukee 105 to host a combination tour and happy hour tonight. BIG THANK YOU to Zignego Company for hosting and to Konkol 's Service & Repair for sponsoring the event! Such a great night of networking and celebrating the awesome women in our industry!

Zignego HR visited seniors in Mr. Griffie’s ‘Tosa East shop class this morning. Interested high school students learned about the varied career paths that may await them upon graduating. Students were encouraged to ask questions about Zignego and the construction industry.

It might be a little large to fit into a stocking, but this Christmas morning, check out some award winning concrete paving from the Appleton Airport by Zignego crews, who are proud members of the: Wisconsin Concrete Pavement Association, Associated Builders and Contractors of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association. Have a safe end to 2025 and start to 2026.

Tony and Brent were just the messengers picking up the award this week out in San Diego, but this belongs to ALL 180+ Zignego Company employees:

2025 GOLD award winners for best concrete pavement airport in the UNITED STATES (Outagamie Airport in Appleton).

Massive congratulations also to Wisconsin Concrete Pavement Association for their support as always and to Vinton Construction and A.W. Oakes who also are bringing home gold in their categories as well.

🚧 BALLARD ROAD IS OPEN TO TRAFFIC! 🚧

The Ballard Road interchange in Appleton is now open to traffic! Crews worked diligently through weather challenges to put the finishing touches on the Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). The new interchange will accommodate higher traffic volumes, increase safety, and include additional bike and pedestrian accommodations.
