ETW, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of customized cutting tools for the machining and aerospace industries, specializing in prototype and short run manufacturing. We are currently looking for individuals to join our 1st and 2nd shift manufacturing team in a progressive position that will develop towards becoming a 5-Axis CNC Machinist.

Work closely with experienced machinists; learn the operation and set-up of a variety of machine tools. Master necessary skills and knowledge including:
CNC machine operation, setup, and adjustment
Use of precision measuring devices- will be trained to inspect materials with micrometers and other inspection devices.
Completion of required paperwork
Grow machining knowledge and skills in preparation for a Machinist position.
Gain understanding of shop routings, materials, fixtures, tooling, and locations.
Cut metal material using various cutting machines
De-burr metal products with electrical hand grinders and hand files.
Read technical blueprints to determine measurements and tolerances.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of shop floor, including:
-General Janitorial/ Mopping Duties-Changing of coolant/fluid-Emptying of chip bins-Assist shipping department in preparing products for shipments.
Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations.
Effectively communicate with team members.
Qualifications
Solid math skills, good mechanical aptitude, and an eagerness to learn.
A strong desire to become a top notch, 5-Axis CNC machinist is critical.
Background in industrial arts; technical training, or manufacturing is preferred.
Strong Attendance record required.

Job description
The CNC Programmer is responsible for programming 5-Axis DMG CNC milling machines utilizing Siemens NX9 CAM (formerly Unigraphics). Products include custom indexable tooling, fixturing, and precision contract machining.

Write new CNC programs, setup instructions, estimate and modify existing CNC programs for engineering changes or program improvements.
Develop, write and maintain CNC programs using engineering models, drawings and specifications to support a zero defects machining operations environment.
Analyze engineering models/drawings to define the sequence of machining operations to ensure that the design intent and component quality is achieved. Select program routines for the most efficient machining methods for each part.
Create/maintain post processors for CNC machines.
Create and modify fixture CAD files as necessary.
Make proper cutting tool selections, taking into consideration such factors as materials, speeds, type of cutters, feeds and control system imitations.
Use machine simulation and optimization software to troubleshoot/validate CNC programs and ensure highly efficient and 100% defect-free FTT machining processes.
Work closely with Machinists, Quality, Engineering, Management and other team members. Participate in knowledge sharing and cross training activity.
Must have experience with simple turning to complex 5 axis machining methods and fixture design; experience with Siemens NX CAM (version 8 or greater) turning to 5 axis milling programming.
Education and/or Experience

Requires education generally equivalent to an Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
Requires 1-3 years of related manufacturing experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, Etc.

Familiarity with Siemens NX CAM (Unigraphics) software a plus!
Must be able to read and understand drawings, engineering solid models, and be familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.
Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, and perform trigonometric, algebraic and geometric calculations.
Requires strong computer skills

Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the ISO/Quality Manager is responsible for all aspects of the ETW ISO Quality program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

1. Administer the QA management systems.

2. Train and coach employees on ISO standards.

3. Establish and maintain standard quality processes and procedures through the development of work instructions and SOP’s in accordance with ISO standards.

4. Serves as Management Representative for the Quality System (QS) and represents the Company in all audits: customer-requested, external regulatory, 3rd party registrar and internal audits.

5. Reviews quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, and relevance.

6. Review all complaints received from customers; Lead and manage supplier quality issues and corrective actions to positive customer.

7. Periodically reports status of the overall health of the organization to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.

8. Oversees Vendor Approval Process and customer part approval process (PPAP if required)

9. Responsible for maintaining Calibration program, for ensuring tooling and equipment is scheduled for calibration at defined intervals, and for the maintenance of calibration records.

10. Additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

§ Education equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred.

§ Requires 2-5 years ISO 9001:2015 experience in a manufacturing environment; AS9001 EXPERIENCE A PLUS!

We are currently looking to fill a a VERY part time position (approximately 8-12 hours per week) to assist with general cleaning of our manufacturing floor. This role would primarily be sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, and wiping down machines and fixtures. This would be ideal for a student or someone looking to work 2-3 hours per day in the late afternoon or evening. Opportunities for additional hours would be available during school breaks. Individuals must be able to work independently and have strong attendance. ETW, Inc promotes from within and transition to full time role would be available to those interested in manufacturing fields in the future.
