🚨 Carbon Monoxide Detectors Could Save Your Life 🚨

Carbon monoxide (CO) is called the silent killer for a reason — you can’t see it, smell it, or taste it. But it can build up quickly from furnaces, water heaters, fireplaces, generators, or even a vehicle running in the garage.

As we head through heating season here in the Wausau / Weston area, this is your reminder:

✅ Test your carbon monoxide detectors once a month
✅ Replace batteries at least once a year
✅ Make sure you have at least one detector with a digital display
✅ Replace units every 5–10 years (check the manufacture date)

💡 Pro Tip: The cheaper plug-in or battery-only units often don’t alarm until CO levels are already high. I always recommend having at least one detector with a digital readout so you can see low-level CO before it becomes dangerous.

If you’re not sure where yours should be located or if they’re outdated, I’m happy to point you in the right direction.
