Attention!! Attention!! All is Safe!!

Matheson Gas at 9920 Deer Park Rd is doing a controlled burn off from one of their propane tanks today! This is going to take most of the day so don’t be alarmed if you drive by and see three flames coming off a pipe in the middle of their back parking lot.

We just wanted to give the Waverly Community a heads up on a project at the Matheson HUB Plant this weekend (9920 Deer Park Rd). We have our contractor doing some work on our propane system and part of the process involves using a controlled flare stack to empty the last bit of gas from the tank. Just in case you were wondering why we have a flame in the middle of our empty truck lot. We're sure the Viking football team will be equally as β€œhot” Monday in Memorial Stadium. Go Vikes!

Matheson Tri-Gas, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist employees’ children who plan to pursue post-secondary education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited post-secondary institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Congratulations to all our outstanding scholarship recipients! Your hard work and dedication have truly paid off.

Karen Gilgenbach has led our team for the last four years as Zone Vice President of Packaged Gas North Zone. Last Friday we were able to help her celebrate her promotion and wish her well on her last day in Nebraska! Karen's new position is at MATHESON'S corporate office in Irving, TX where she will transition to Senior Vice President of Marketing to include industrial gas and equipment applications, traditional marketing communications and social media.
