Wheelift Heavy Transporters were in action again yesterday moving the Artemis III rocket to the Kennedy Space Center.

The core stage for the Artemis III rocket has arrived at NASA's Kennedy Space Center after a 900-mile journey from NASA Michoud Assembly Facility.

Wheelift and TDS Automation are proud to be part of another successful move by NASA. The Wheelift transporters are a key component in moving the SLS Core Stage from the Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans to the NASA Pegasus barge for transport to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

A lot of hard work by many people from right here in the Cedar Valley (including Bremer County and Waverly) came to fruition last night.

Notice the yellow Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMT's) transporting the Space Launch System (SLS) Rocket in the photo. SPMT's were designed and built right here in the Cedar Valley by Wheelift / TDS Automation.

Artemis II transported a crew of four Astronauts to orbit the Earth twice and figure eight around the Moon in the Orion Space Capsule with the assistance of the SLS Rocket. The largest rocket ever built!

What a cool thing for rural Iowa and Bremer County to be a part of!!!
