Office Clerk
Job Summary
The Office Clerk provides administrative support to the sales, warehouse, and accounting departments. In a fluid sealing distribution environment, this role is critical for managing the flow of industrial products—such as gaskets, O-rings, and mechanical seals—from order entry to shipment.
Key Responsibilities

General Administration: Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical), manage office supplies, and prepare routine reports for management.
Order & Quote Processing: Enter customer orders into Quickbooks Enterprise and assist in generating quotes for sealing solutions.
Inventory Coordination: Assist the inventory team with tracking stock levels of critical sealing items and investigating discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
Documentation Management: Process shipping and receiving paperwork, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing slips, and Advance Shipping Notices (ASN).
Accounting Support: Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling receipts, and verifying customer payment information.
Customer & Vendor Communication: Act as a primary contact for customer inquiries regarding order status, shipping dates, and product availability via phone and email.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Quickbooks Enterprise software is a plus.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication for professional interaction with vendors, and clients.
Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks.
Basic Numeracy: Comfortable with mathematical computations for billing, inventory counts, and processing freight costs.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in an industrial or warehouse office setting is highly preferred.

Physical & Environmental Conditions

This is an on-site position located in an office attached to a warehouse or distribution center.
Occasional light lifting (up to 25 lbs) and frequent use of standard office machinery (scanners, printers) are required.

Power Plant Maintenance / Valve Technician



General Summary:



The person holding this position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment at gas/steam turbine electrical generation power plant. Job tasks will range from routine maintenance to complex mechanical troubleshooting and use of precision measurement tools.






Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:



A high school diploma or GED is required. Must have valid driver’s license. Ability to read, write and speak in the English language and perform basic mathematical computations. Training on use of fork-lifts. Four (4) years experience as a mechanic/machinist, preferably in a power plant environment to provide for the following:



Demonstrated use of standard mechanical tools and measurement devices.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding in the following skills: valve repair, valve repacking, rigging, rotating machinery repair, fabrication, machine alignment, piping schematics, mechanical drawings.
Demonstrated ability to locate, troubleshoot, adjust and correct defects in complex mechanical equipment.
Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices associated with a power plant environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate work with others on technical subjects across job families.

The employee in this classification will be required to regularly lift or move objects of up to 10 pounds in weight. Frequently lift or move objects of up to 25 pounds in weight. Occasionally the employee will have to lift or move objects between 50 to 75 pounds in weight.







Working Conditions:



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions, and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and/or machinery. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Good communications skills – the ability to communicate effectively both in the written and spoken word.

• Ability to observe, help and take part in daily pre-job briefs.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• OSHA 10 and 30 hour certification
• Prior Power Plant Site Experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Industrial Safety

Kan-Seal is hiring FME Monitors for a project located at Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant (TVA). The project is scheduled for September 30th thru October 29th with another outage scheduled for February 2023. Preference for 2023 will be given to those who work the 2022 outage. There will be 8 FME monitors total with 4 FME's on the Refuel floor and 4 FME's on the Turbine deck (half on days and half on nights). Work hours are tentatively 7-12's. All positions must be filled by qualified/experienced personnel.
