The cold has set in and the snow flurries have started. Here are a few tips:

Tips for Cold Weather!

A Heat pump is not designed for below freezing temperatures. You may notice your AUX/Emergency Heat staying on this is NORMAL.

If you notice ice on the outside unit this is NORMAL
If you notice the outside fan on and “smoke” coming out the top of the unit this is NORMAL. Your unit is in Defrost and you may feel cool air blowing inside. Your AUX heat will come on to keep temperature of home.

Below freezing temperatures your unit may continuously run this is NORMAL.

If you have a gas unit make sure you have gas and your pilot lights are lit when you are preparing for the incoming weather. If you need help please call.
