Building Our Renewable Future. Our current active development portfolio comprises over 3.5 GW of renewable projects.

National Renewable Solutions, LLC (“NRS”) is a renewable energy company founded in 2011 and based in Minnetonka, Minnesota. NRS originates, acquires and develops renewable energy projects throughout the US at various stages, including “greenfield,” investing the necessary capital and resources to maximize each project’s value. Our history represents a wind and solar portfolio of over 1 GW of eithe

r operating or NTP-ready projects, demonstrating a strong track record in a competitive field. In mid 2021, NRS was acquired by BlackRock Real Assets* (“BlackRock”) with the intention of accelerating the development of its pipeline of projects toward financing, construction, and operations. With NRS’ on-the-ground development and origination expertise and BlackRock’s capital markets support and global reach, we have positioned ourselves as a major player in the US renewable energy market.

We recently had the pleasure of attending the Western Power Players Conference hosted by The Institute for Western Energy in Colorado.

The Institute brings together industry, policy, nonprofit, and academic leaders and supports policymakers through the Western Energy Caucus to advance a reliable, low cost, clean energy system in the West and work toward a western Regional Transmission Organization.

Our Director of Environmental Permitting, Stevee Kennard, represented our team.

The conference invited 100 leaders across industry and policy for candid, solutions-oriented discussions on the challenges facing the buildout of the Western grid.

Through collaboration, we developed policy strategies addressing capacity, permitting, affordability, market formation, and wildfire mitigation, which were proposed to state leaders and the Western Energy Caucus.

We were grateful to engage with a wide range of industry representatives and left encouraged by the momentum shaping the future of the Western energy market!

Happy holidays from us at NRS!

We’d like to say a special thank you to our incredible community for making so much possible this year, including the on-time, on-budget energization of Shallow Basket Energy.

We’re proud to see this project now supporting grid reliability in Northern New Mexico and bringing meaningful benefits to the Jicarilla Apache Nation.

Warmest wishes from the entire team! ☃️

Exciting news ➡️ our Arizona energy storage project, Ranger Storage, received unanimous approval from the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.

Thank you to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, as well as the Planning and Zoning Commission for their thorough review and recommendation of the project.

Once operational, the 400 MWh Ranger Storage project will interconnect to the Arizona Public Service Trilby Wash Substation and help meet the Southwest region’s growing need for large-scale energy storage, contributing to a more reliable grid.

Earlier this month, our team gathered at our Minneapolis office for our Fall All Hands meeting.

Volunteering together and giving back to our local community is an important part of these biannual All Hands meetings, and we’re excited to shine a spotlight on these fantastic community groups:

Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park, MN is one of the nation’s largest foodbanks. Last year they served 145 million meals. Here, we helped pack food for families in need.

My Very Own Bed, is an organization that supports children transitioning to permanent housing with new beds and blankets, and we were honored to make colorful fleece-tied blankets for the kids.

We are grateful for our team that shows up for each other and our community!

A clear understanding of project revenue dynamics is key to serving our customers, and we were pleased to join to highlight how we’re shaping our diverse development portfolio.

Our SVP of Commercial Analytics, Carl Ostridge led a discussion on how today’s market conditions shape the interaction between generation, price, and revenue modeling for energy projects.

Thank you to American Clean Power Association (ACP) for curating a thoughtful session. With over 1 GW of wind, solar, and storage projects commercialized, NRS is delivering meaningful outcomes for customers and communities across the country.

Thanks to our partners Blattner and Quanta Services, Inc. for recently hosting our team at the Utility Perspectives Symposium in Colorado Springs.

Our CEO Bill Whitlock, SVP of origination Chase Cheshire, and Nicholas Halley, our SVP of Construction and Procurement had the opportunity to hear key insights from some of the most prominent thought leaders in the industry. Conversations this year shed light on the accelerating demand for electricity, the evolving regulatory landscape, and more on how we can respond to energy infrastructure changes.

What makes our Shallow Basket Energy project extraordinary is our partners!

See how this 140 MW solar and 50 MW battery storage project came together. 🎥

A special thank you to everyone who helped bring this project online on-time and on-budget! This was an especially exciting milestone for our team.

🤝 Jicarilla Apache Nation leased its land for the project in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, honoring their legacy of environmental stewardship

⚡Power provided by the project will benefit the Jicarilla Apache Nation Power Authority and Kit Carson Electric Cooperative Inc. through a PPA with Guzman Energy

🦺 Gridworks completed construction of the project by installing solar modules manufactured by Boviet Solar and Megapacks with grid forming technology by Tesla Energy
