Elm, cypress, willow, ash, black jack oak, hackberry, mulberry boards ready to go.

I loaded some black walnut (over 9’ long) elm and pecan in the solar kiln today with the help of Junior. Hopefully ready in about a month.

Well now that was fun. Decided to cut an Osage orange log that is too big for the mill. That in itself is a challenge. Got a few scrap pieces cut off so the log would fit then started my first cut to keep and just put a new blade on. Well about half way down hit a nail and took out a dozen teeth (on the saw blade😁) and damaged the board.

Oh well. Pulled the nail

New blade next cut six inches from the end and the blade got in a bind and popped off the guides and destroyed the new blade. 🤦

Oh well. New blade finished that cut and made two more. Yippie three boards!

Next cut found fence wire!!!!!

Three strikes!

Fed the burn pile with the remainder of the log.

Time to pack for teo days of fishing.

Well it looks like my wife and daughter are having a garage sale this Saturday. That means I will be here from about 8 am to 4 pm. Drop in and say hi or buy a few boards. The gate will be open.
