Just a small way to support the amazing work happening right here in Craig County!

💙 WOW! What a blessing! 💙

The Vinita Day Center would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Catrina Kelley and Cabin Creek Wind for their generous donation of a mountain of paper goods!

Items like toilet paper, paper towels, cups, and other disposable supplies may seem simple, but they are necessities that help us serve our guests every single day. Donations like this allow us to stretch our resources further and continue providing meals, showers, laundry services, and a welcoming place for those in need.

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like Cabin Creek Wind who see a need and step up to help make a difference right here in Vinita.

Please join us in thanking Catrina Kelley and Cabin Creek Wind for their kindness and generosity! ❤️

Together, our community continues to make a difference, one act of kindness at a time.

Cabin Creek Wind was happy to donate paper goods to the Vinita Day Center!

Sometimes the little things make a big difference, and we’re always proud to support organizations that help our community every day.

Come out and support the Welch Volunteer Fire Department Feed & Auction this Saturday!

Cabin Creek Wind has donated an awesome auction item…a YETI cooler and reserved seating tickets to Red Dirt at the Run this summer at Buffalo Run Casino!

Don’t miss your chance to bid on this great package while supporting a great cause. Hope to see everyone there!

Worth a repost!

Worth a repost!

We may not have turbines in the air just yet, but our commitment to this community is already in place.

Cabin Creek Wind Farm is here, invested, and excited about what’s ahead…because this project is about more than energy. It’s about people.

We’re proud to be part of this community and grateful for the opportunity to grow alongside it. 💙⚡

Still here. Still caring. Still committed.

Ever wonder why wind turbines are always white or light gray?

It’s not just for looks!

That color actually serves a purpose:
✔️ Blends with the sky – Helps turbines be less visually intrusive on the landscape
✔️ Reduces glare – Special coatings minimize sunlight reflection for pilots and neighbors
✔️ Handles the heat – Lighter colors reflect sunlight, helping prevent overheating and material wear
✔️ Improves safety & visibility – Easier for aircraft to see, especially at higher altitudes

At Cabin Creek Wind, every detail, from design to color, is chosen with safety, efficiency, and our community in mind.

Next time you look up at a turbine, you’ll know there’s more to it than meets the eye!

Ever wonder how we know where the best places are to build wind projects? 🌬️

A meteorological (Met) tower helps us measure wind conditions before any turbines are installed.

These towers collect important data like:
• Wind speed
• Wind direction
• Temperature
• Air pressure

For the Cabin Creek Wind project, we currently have four Met towers placed throughout the project area collecting this data.

The sensors record information over time so engineers can understand how the wind behaves in that location and determine if it’s a good fit for renewable energy.

Met towers are temporary research tools that help us plan smarter, safer, and more efficient wind projects.

It’s all part of doing the homework before building the project. 🌎

We also included a photo of one of our Met towers that appears to have gained a resident 🐾 …a stray dog that showed up on one of our landowners’ properties and seems to have decided the tower makes a pretty good home.

Sometimes the research team isn’t the only one keeping an eye on the tower. 😉

So thankful we could be part of it! Have the best trip!
