Some buildings are more than buildings. The Kentucky State Capitol is one of them.

BCR is honored to continue supporting Messer Construction and the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the restoration of the Kentucky State Capitol in Frankfort. Dedicated on June 2, 1910, this Beaux-Arts landmark was designed by architect Frank Mills Andrews and has served the Commonwealth for over 115 years.

Restoring a structure like this isn't just construction work. It's stewardship of Kentucky's history. BCR's specialty restoration teams are bringing the same craftsmanship to this project that we've applied to historic landmarks across the region — and we take that responsibility seriously.

BCR had a great time during our annual golf outing. Despite some wet weather, a great time was had! It was also a great opportunity for our team to spend time with sponsors and suppliers as well as having fun with team members who might be on other projects or located across the country!

Last Friday, the BCR team came together for our quarterly Safety, Quality, and Production meeting. This meeting is an important opportunity to align as a company, share updates, and reinforce where we’re headed.

Bringing the entire team together allows us to communicate progress, highlight key initiatives, and stay connected as we continue to grow.

As part of the day, the team participated in hands-on rigging and scaffold building training focused on reinforcing best practices and the details that drive safe, consistent ex*****on in the field.

In the afternoon, our field leaders spent dedicated time together discussing common challenges, sharing insights, and learning from each other’s experiences. Creating space for this kind of open dialogue helps strengthen our teams and improve consistency across projects.
