Hello Wendell- It's that time of year again...I just put up a couple of posters around town regarding the Wendell Cultural Council grant application process. *Applications are being accepted online now through 10/16/25 for the 2026 funding year.
*While there are some returning
applicants that look forward to this date, we are always encouraging new applicants in order to enrich our community experience!
The Wendell Cultural Council, on behalf of the Massachusetts Cultural Council, has helped to fund a variety of programs locally with grants that generally fall within the range of $100-$850. *All applications must be submitted online as required by the MCC.
* This year we are excited to be able to offer an in-person Grant Assistance Session at the library with the online grant application process. If you are interested or have questions these Grant Assistance sessions are scheduled to happen at the Wendell Free Library Saturday 9/20 at 11 am and Tuesday 10/14 at 6pm!! This is a wonderful opportunity to ask a question directly to a Cultural Council
Member who is familiar with the entire grant application process.

The Wendell Cultural Council believes strongly in the essential role, importance, and power of the arts, the humanities, and the interpretive sciences. We support applications that reflect a wide variety of disciplines and that reach a diverse demographic in our community (age, gender, race, ethnicity, interests, etc). We work with local resources such as schools, library, town, local and sometimes regional community
groups, to provide appropriate venues, support, and co-sponsorship.
We give priority to applicants who are local artists and community members as well as to programs that take place within the Town of Wendell, or that have Wendell resident participation. Our goal is to enrich the cultural experiences and lie-long learning opportunities on an ongoing basis to our community.
Applicants are encouraged to contact local venues and gain their support prior to submitting their application for an LCC grant. Applicants are also responsible for the publicity of their program. Applicants may gather support from many sources to fund their program and still be a recipient of
the Wendell LCC grant. Grantees are reimbursed for expenses after submitting a request and upon completion of their program.
*To sum this up, there is now just close to a month to submit an online application for a Wendell Cultural Council grant!
*Exciting news. We look forward to reviewing your application by late November and applicants will be notified of the council's decision by the first of the
year (2026).
