I am slow to post a follow up on an amazing event this last weekend. The very first ever Midwest Knife and Tool Expo put on by was AMAZING!! My son and I had a lot of fun demonstrating an axe build throughout the day. I also managed to enter into the show a longsword I was commissioned to make, and it won an award!!!! I could go on and on, but I will spare you. Thanks to everyone who came out. We'll see you next year!

Sometimes the job is just fun. I got to demonstrate and educate a 7 & 8 grade class today. Thankful for the good weather as there were too many to fit into the shop at once!

For the last few years I have been trying to develop a messer design that is mine and true to historical examples. With some encouragement I think I am there. Not quite ready to do a big batch, but field testing for the run is beginning with the serial number "001".
Pear wood for the handle. 818g. 25" overall.
