Over the past few years, we have developed a special bond with Adaptive Sports New England , a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the participation in sports among youth and young adults who have visual or mobility impairments. By coordinating opportunities to get involved in wheelchair basketball, para-swimming, adaptive track & field, rowing, sailing, and more, Adaptive Sports NE brings sports closer to home for para-athletes who may not otherwise be able to fully participate in their town or school’s youth sports. Not to mention, the coaching staff is made up of several Paralympians whose own journeys show that the sky is the limit for these athletes.

We believe in the mission of Adaptive Sports NE and will be attending their fundraiser Breaking Down the Barriers on April 30th at 6:00pm. You are welcome to join us at the event or send a donation to support the cause. Please message us with any questions or for more details!

Check out this – The Joseph Simes House in Plymouth, MA! We are very proud to play a role in preserving history in Massachusetts. The Joseph Simes House was built in 1863, consisting of a 79-acre farm running from Manomet House Road easterly to the ocean. In 158 years, the house and land has served as a farm, a nursing home, an inn, a center for the Men’s Christian Union, and a camp for underprivileged girls. In 1954, the land was sold and eventually turned into 16 separate lots. In 2010, the Simes House Foundation was established to save the house and create a village common.

Vareika Construction completed an entire renovation of the exterior, including new asphalt and zinc coated copper flat seam roofing, original glass window restoration, structural framing, rebuilding of existing chimneys, stone foundation, historic porches, and doors. The exterior painting was also completed and returned to the original color from 1863.
