Cumberland Ironworks has an opening in our shop for an ambitious welder/fabricator. Great shop environment. Custom parts in all alloys. Applicant is expected to be able to receive instruction on projects and fill in the granular details using judgement, fabricating skills, and creativity. Rarely doing the same thing twice this is a fantastic opportunity for someone that has shop skills in shearing, breaking, rolling, light machining, and welding that wants to feel appreciated using them or has basic shop knowledge and wants to get more proficient.
For the most part the work is in our shop in Durham Maine with radiant heated floors in the winter and central A/C in the summer. Squeaky clean recently refurbished shop. Occasionally work outside of the shop assisting in installations.

Our general fields of work are light marine parts for fishing and pleasure vessels and architectural iron work comprised mostly of stairs, fixtures, and railings.
