When the call comes in that the roof is on and the floor needs to be poured...and you roll up to a disaster. What now? Using portland cement to dry and provide strength to the unstable material will allow construction to stay on schedule.

Mud season has returned. Are you ready? Project site along river consisting of heavy silt and clay creating a very unstable site. Treated soils initially with Quick Lime to dry excess moisture and then the top lift was treated with Portland Cement for strength. Treating the soils on site was critical in order to allow the contractor to meet their schedule in a safe and efficient manner. The dozer was buried while trying to work the untreated, unsuitable soils. After the soil treatment, the site is now stabilized and can support ongoing construction operations.
