Weather can throw challenges your way, but preparation makes all the difference.

After days of rough weather and difficult ground conditions leading up to Saturday, Silverwater Pumping still successfully pumped 280 yards for Larry Culp in Sterlington, Louisiana. That didn’t happen by accident—it happened because of preparation, communication, and teamwork.

We knew the weather forecast. We knew the ground conditions. Together with Mr. Culp and the crew at MCA Concrete Services, LLC, we put together a solid game plan before the first truck ever rolled in. River City Ready Mix supplied the concrete, MCA handled the finish work, and “What’s Good” Chris Wood handled the 51. Everyone worked together to make sure the project stayed on track.

Because of that preparation, we were able to get in, get the job done, and help move Mr. Culp well ahead on his project timeline.

This morning ole Dev Devin Blackman put our new Putzmeister America 47M ISA equipped with Full Flex to work in the heart of old downtown Monroe, pumping an elevator shaft inside one of the historic buildings being brought back to life. There’s something special about seeing these old structures transformed with modern upgrades while keeping their history alive.

This one took a little creativity — pumping up and over the main wall to reach inside — but the new Putz handled it like a champ. To top it off, we had the Ouachita River in the background. Hard to beat a view like that while doing what we love. Special thanks to Century Ready Mix, LLC for a solid mix.

Silver Water Pumping has been busy this week—before the rain moved in, Anthony Montano knocked out a pump operator’s dream: two house slabs in one setting in the DesiardTrace subdivision in Sterlington, Louisiana, for Rafael Lara Construction, LLC

MCA Concrete Services, LLC handled the finish and River City Ready Mix handled the concrete.

Solid work, smooth pour, and beautiful homes coming out of the ground. Proud of the crew and the way this one came together.

Silverwater Pumping was rolling early this morning — 2:30 a.m. start at the new 7 Brew Coffee off Thomas Road in West Monroe. We knocked out 180 yards with Pokie’s Ready Mix keeping us fed all morning.

Heath Munholland had the 39-meter running smooth, and the finishers did an outstanding job on the slab.

7 Brew is targeting an end-of-June opening. Training starts soon — scan the QR code on-site to apply if you want in.

We were at Egrets Landing on Bayou Desiard for an absolutely gorgeous pour for J.P. Richardson Construction, LLC. The conditions couldn’t have been better, and the job came together smooth from start to finish.

Jacob Anthony Mobley was on the controls and ran everything like silk—steady, precise, and dialed in the whole way through. MCA Concrete Services, LLC handled the finish work, and they did a great job bringing it all home on the back end. And River City Ready Mix handled the concrete.

It turned into one of those mornings where everything just clicks. Clean pour, good crew, and a solid result.

And a first for me—this was the first time anyone has ever asked to see my drone license. After all the time and effort it took to get it, I’ve got to admit, it felt good to actually pull it out and use it.

Proud of the crew and the work. Looking forward to the next one.

This morning Silverwater Pumping was in West Monroe putting down 140 yards for JHill Construction, Inc.

What a setting this one was—one of those jobs where you don’t mind being there a little longer just to take in the view. Beautiful ground, beautiful pond in the background, and it’s going to turn into an even better finished space once everything sets up.

MCA Concrete Services, LLC handled the finish work, River City Ready Mix supplied the concrete, and “Billy Heath” Munholland ran the controls for us today as our brand new CDL driver stepping right into the role. Ole “Big Red” Jacob Anthony Mobley got in on the fun a little himself.

Good work, good people, and another solid pour in the books for Silverwater Pumping.

Yesterday we were off Industrial Drive in Bastrop, Louisiana with our new Putzmeister America 47 meter, and it couldn’t have been a prettier day to pump concrete. We teamed up with Century Ready Mix, LLC and knocked out 110 yards with everything going smooth from start to finish. Days like this make for great work — and a great picture too. Proud to be working with good people and good companies.

The rain gave way yesterday and we have been slap rolling since! We were able to spend some time with Chase Eastman with Luxe Custom Builds LLC on a new place he's building in Bayou Trace, just off 165 in Sterlington.

MCA Concrete Services, LLC was on the finish, River City Ready Mix gave us some good mud to work with, and Anthony Montano ran that SCHWING America 36RZ with a 2125H pump kit like a champ.

Anybody in this line of work will tell ya, we watch the weather more than a meteorologist… seemed like we went months without a drop of rain, and now every job revolves around watching the radar and figuring out when the next shower is coming.

As you can see in the background, we’ve got a few storms rolling through North Union Parish and into Morehouse. But that’s part of this line of work — you work when you can, and right now we’re getting all we can.
