NOW HIRING – HVAC APPRENTICE
Ashurst Air Conditioning is looking for an apprentice who wants to learn the HVAC trade and build a career, not just collect a paycheck.
This is an opportunity to learn hands-on from an experienced technician working on all makes and models of air-conditioning equipment. No two days are the same, and you’ll learn real-world skills that can provide a great future.

✅ Valid driver’s license preferred
✅ Must be able to pass a drug test
📅 Schedule: up to Six days a week
⏰ Hours: Unknown — HVAC doesn’t always run on a clock. Some days are short, some days are long, especially during the summer.

We are extremely grateful for the support our customers continue to show Ashurst Air Conditioning. As the summer heat ramps up, we are running nonstop and getting a bit backlogged trying to take care of everyone as quickly as possible.

One thing that really slows us down is when my phone is blowing up with Facebook messages, text messages, Messenger notifications, and phone calls all at the same time. If you need service, please call me directly. A phone call is the fastest and most reliable way to get on the schedule.

I do my best to return every message, but during the busy season it’s easy for a text or Messenger notification to get buried while I’m in an attic, on a roof, or under a house working on someone’s air conditioner.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who recommends Ashurst Air Conditioning in the local Facebook groups and community forums. It truly means the world to us.

For a small local business, word-of-mouth is everything. Every recommendation, tag, comment, and referral helps more than most people realize.

Now, here’s the funny part… I actually ask my family NOT to recommend me online. 😂 I know, I know, that sounds crazy. But I want our reputation to be built by our customers, not by relatives who are obligated to love me.

Looking for ways to lower your electric bill this summer?

Here are a few things that can make a big difference:

✅ Have your attic insulation checked. Many homes in South Florida don’t have enough insulation, which allows heat to enter the home and makes your air conditioner work harder.

✅ Consider adding an attic fan. Removing excess heat from the attic can help reduce the temperature above your living space and improve efficiency.

✅ Keep your thermostat set around 78° during the day when you’re home. Every degree lower can increase energy usage.

✅ At night, try not to set your thermostat lower than 75°. Most people sleep comfortably at this temperature, and it helps keep energy costs under control.

✅ Change your air filter regularly. A dirty filter restricts airflow and forces your system to work harder.

✅ Make sure your air conditioning system is properly maintained. Clean coils, proper refrigerant charge, and good airflow can significantly improve efficiency.
