Murray Company’s project team recently welcomed the Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and key stakeholders for a site visit at the D.C. Tillman Advanced Water Purification Facility — a critical infrastructure project supporting the City’s long-term water resilience strategy.

During the walkthrough, the team highlighted major construction milestones, including process piping installation, structural progress, and the complex coordination efforts required across multiple trades to maintain schedule, safety, and quality standards. Discussions also focused on Los Angeles’ Climate Action Plan and the facility’s long-term environmental impact. Once operational, the facility will produce up to 45 million gallons of drinking water per day for Angelenos, helping reduce reliance on imported water while advancing sustainable water management across the region.

Investing in the next generation of builders starts with creating meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and lead.

Last week, Murray Company welcomed our first 2026 Summer Intern cohort from universities across the country for a three-day onboarding experience designed to immerse them in our culture, operations, and people.

The program introduced interns to every facet of our business—from executive leadership discussions and professional development workshops to hands-on exposure in the field. Highlights included tours of our Rancho Dominguez Fabrication Facility and the Hyperion Water Reclamation Plant project, where students experienced firsthand the planning, coordination, craftsmanship, and ex*****on that drive our work.

Interns also participated in leadership discussions with Chairman & CEO Jim DeFlavio and SoCal President Ryan Cavanaugh, gaining valuable insights into Murray Company's safety-first culture, career development opportunities, and the impact of employee ownership.

At Murray Company, we believe our future success depends on developing the next generation of industry professionals. We are excited to welcome these talented students to the team and look forward to supporting their growth throughout the summer.

Murray Company was proud to support the ISPE Greater Los Angeles Chapter 2026 Tech Expo at the incredible Intuit Dome. As an annual Gold Sponsor of the chapter, Murray Company is committed to supporting innovation, collaboration, and growth within Southern California’s life sciences industry.

This year’s event was a tremendous success, drawing more than 600 attendees representing over 230 individual companies, along with 70 exhibitors from across the life sciences industry. The event brought together owners, manufacturers, engineers, contractors, and technology partners to discuss the future of pharmaceutical manufacturing, innovation, and project delivery. The energy throughout the event reflected the continued growth and momentum of Southern California’s life sciences market.

Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in exclusive tours of the Intuit Dome, showcasing the technology, architecture, and behind-the-scenes systems that make the venue one of the most advanced arenas in the world.

Murray Company was especially proud to help host the event in a facility where our team performed the plumbing scope during construction. Seeing the venue transformed into a hub for collaboration, technology, and innovation made the event even more meaningful for our team.

With over 50 industry participants hitting the courts, the event brought together A/E/C partners for a great cause—supporting the next generation of our industry.
