🚧Sharing photos from another successful pavement preservation project completed in Menlo Park, California. This citywide effort included improvements at several locations throughout the community, with work ranging from asphalt dig-outs and ADA curb ramp upgrades to speed humps, tree trimming, minor concrete repairs, signing and striping, and crack sealing. 🛣

Crack sealing is one of the most effective ways to preserve pavement and extend the life of roadways. By sealing cracks before water can pe*****te the surface, cities can help prevent further deterioration, reduce future repair costs, and keep streets in service longer.

🛣 VSS International continues to partner with cities across Northern California and the Bay Area to deliver reliable, long-lasting pavement preservation solutions. Our crews recently completed a large-scale slurry seal project across Newark, California (City of Newark, CA Government ).

This citywide pavement preservation effort included:
• Tree trimming to prepare safe and accessible work zones
• Asphalt dig-out repairs completed by a subcontractor
• Crack sealing to protect roadways from water damage
• Removal and reinstallation of pavement striping and markings
• Application of approximately 453,000 square yards of Type II polymer-modified slurry seal

Slurry seal helps preserve existing pavement, improves skid resistance, and extends roadway life, reducing the need for costly reconstruction.
