Meet the creators of Auctify!
Arthur Nguyen-cao and Hisham El-Halabi are two engineering students at the University of Toronto, Canada’s most prestigious post-secondary institution. Both come from accomplished backgrounds that have given them the foundation to tackle problem-solving in innovative ways. As students, Arthur and Hisham recognized that one of the biggest struggles their peers faced throughout their academic career was procrastination.
Through research, they discovered that the average person spends 3 hours daily just watching TV with another 2-3 hours on social media. While rest and relaxation is important to counter the stresses of daily life, many would agree even that time could be spent more productively. Furthermore, with increasing numbers of people working and studying remotely, many more of us are now struggling to maintain a work-life balance as daily distractions make it very difficult to accomplish tasks effectively. Additionally, it was discovered that 25% of post-secondary students resort to the use of harmful drugs to prevent procrastination, and even pay upwards of $7,000 per year to obtain them.
Arthur and Hisham realized that there must be a safe, healthy, and effective way to improve and promote productive habits - and the solution was Auctify.
After countless hours brainstorming, designing and redesigning, Auctify is proud to present the world’s first anti-procrastination smart glasses!
