Project Highlight: Expansion Joint Upgrade at Sanford Stadium

Outdated expansion joint coverplates were causing noise and allowing water infiltration along the concourses at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium. A recent upgrade replaced those assemblies with a watertight SJS System that installs without invasive anchors and delivers reliable performance under heavy use.

Earlier this fall, our team spent time at Gillette Stadium for an on-site expansion joint training walkthrough. Instead of a classroom session, we used the stadium itself to look at real expansion joint conditions; how joints move, how transitions are detailed, and how materials perform over time.
