RESNET just sent out a first draft of proposed standards change to have energy raters start to grade the installation of HVAC systems. This will be a really HUGE issue for builders who want to meet Energy Star . . . we will keep everyone posted.

The building code in Ohio which goes into effect on 7/1/19 now requires all multi family buildings over 3 units to be Air Balanced. Tacoma Energy is ACCA certified to perform this testing . . . give us a call at 614-899-8990!

Ohio's building codes are extremely confusing . . . and it is changing again effective July 1st. Most raters do not fully understand the new code requirements. If you are thinking about using one of the OHBA methods, please think again . . . most likely you can meet the new code by following the ERI or IECC method instead. If your rater can't get you there give Tacoma a shout . . . we are confident we can!!

Ohio will be implementing a new building code effective July 1st. The ERI method offers the lowest cost method in meeting the new code. If anyone needs help in trying to meet the ERI give Tacoma a shout!
