GreenTech Motors Corporation manufactures extremely efficient, lightweight, and compact electric motors and electric generators using its own and Boeing's licensed globally patented LAGER (Large Air Gap Electric Ring) technology. The technology traces its origins back to NASA's planned Constellation manned lunar rover mission when it was successfully tested at the John Glenn Research Center as a high efficiency, compact, and lightweight motor. The LAGER technology was "designed for space but will soon to be available on earth." The LAGER electric motor technology is 68% more efficient than current electric motor standards in reducing motor loss inefficiency. This represents a motor efficiency of 97.7% compared to the current standard of 93% for 20 horsepower (HP) motors. The LAGER electric motor is 85% lighter than a leading high-efficiency competitor, which allows for easy transport and installation. The LAGER electric motor's unique design vastly reduces its size, making it an easy drop-in replacement for older, inefficient electric motors.
