This 1800s New Hampshire home is in beautiful condition. Brick and granite, so I wanted the wall to look a bit more than a plain, black wall. So, I painted the wall we built in front of the Granite wall to look a bit more like the rest of the basement foundation. We then mounted a new Lochinvar 155k btu Knight boiler. This is then tied to both a 50g Vaughn indirect and a Aque-Coil mounted on top of a Bosch IDP Premium air handler. This is both a supplemental heat as well as emergency heat when the Bosch 5t Premium 20 SEER needs support. The Bosch system will provide heating, cooling as well as dehumidification, right out of the box (once installed, of course), but we added a Honeywell steam humidifier to increase comfort in the drier months. We now will wait until spring to remove the oil tanks and older Viesmann oil system.
