Too much water. Not enough time.

When excess moisture and poor drainage keep equipment out of the field, already narrow windows for planting, spraying, and harvest can get even tighter.

That’s why excess soil moisture and poor drainage limiting field access was selected as a top pain point in the 2026 Upper Midwest RAPPR. As weather becomes more variable, better ways to manage water and maintain field access are increasingly important for producers across the region.
