You may know me from Baker Construction, but I realized we’ve never officially introduced ourselves here, so I wanted to take a minute to do that.

Hi everyone, I’m Shawn Baker, founder of Baker Decks, LLC.

I’ve worked in construction since 2009, and after operating Baker Construction since 2022, I decided to branch out and create a company focused specifically on outdoor living spaces.

When I started Baker Decks, LLC in May of 2025, my goal was simple: focus on one niche and do it exceptionally well. By specializing in decks, patio covers, privacy fencing, and outdoor spaces, we’re able to bring more consistency, attention to detail, and quality craftsmanship to every project we take on.

To me, this business is about more than just building decks. It’s about creating places where memories are made while improving the accessibility, comfort, and functionality of your home so you can enjoy your outdoor space safely. We take pride in doing things the right way and building projects that are made to last.

Family, faith, and community are the foundation of everything we do. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me fishing, coaching my boys, or attending one of their sporting events. The boys enjoy helping Dad on projects from time to time, learning work ethic and hands-on experience.

I also enjoy giving back to the community through my involvement with the Pomme de Terre Chamber of Commerce and supporting the area that has supported us.
