Continuing our , we’re looking back at another defining chapter in the company’s history—one that marked both growth and loss.

In 1979, under Bob Doyle’s leadership, the business officially incorporated as E.P. Doyle & Son, Inc. This milestone represented more than a legal change—it signaled the company’s continued evolution and long-term commitment to growth as a family-owned business.

In 1985, the company experienced a profound loss with the passing of founder Edward Patrick Doyle who had remained active in the business, even since handing the reigns to his son Bob over a decade earlier. He was survived by his nine children, leaving behind a legacy built on hard work, perseverance, and family values. His impact continued to shape the company’s path forward, carried on by the next generation he inspired.

We’re kicking off the month by recognizing Ryan Christensen and Riley Doyle, who are both celebrating their 2-year anniversaries with Doyle this month!

As an Assistant Project Manager, Ryan continues to play an important role in keeping projects organized and moving forward. His ability to stay on top of details and support the team wherever needed makes a real difference behind the scenes.

Out in the field, Riley has grown into his role as Superintendent, helping drive progress on-site and keeping work aligned with expectations day in and day out.

We appreciate the consistency, effort, and commitment both of you bring to the team. Congratulations on 2 years — here’s to many more ahead!

As projects pushed through winter conditions and into more active construction phases, the first quarter of 2026 has brought steady, visible progress across our jobsites. From early-stage site work to buildings taking shape and nearing completion, our teams have kept momentum moving in the right direction.

• D'Orazio Ford - After a planned winter break, work at the D’Orazio Ford project picked back up quickly, with the pre-engineered metal building assembly nearing completion. The building is taking shape and allowing interior work to begin—marking a significant transition into the next phase of construction—as roofing wraps up and underground utilities resume ahead of under-slab equipment installation.
• Chase Bank Skokie Touhy - Since breaking ground in December, the Chase Bank project in Skokie has been progressing steadily through exterior construction, with the building envelope set to be completed this week. Interior work is ramping up as electrical rough-in wraps up and drywall installation begins.
• Advantage Honda of Fox Lake - Work at Advantage Honda of Fox Lake continues to progress, with painting finishing up and lighting fixtures being installed throughout the facility. Epoxy flooring is now underway, paving the way for the owner’s vendors to move in and install lifts, benches, and other equipment.
• Chase Bank East Peoria - The new ground-up Chase Bank in East Peoria is now complete, with signage installed all inspections finalized, marking the closeout of the project.
• Dogtopia - The Dogtopia build-out is progressing as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-ins continue. Wall framing is now underway, and the installation of acoustical soundproofing drywall for the ceiling has also begun to minimize sound transfer throughout the space above.
• Chase Bank Oak Lawn - Construction has kicked off on a new ground-up Chase Bank in Oak Lawn, with demolition of the existing building already in progress. This initial phase sets the stage for site preparation and upcoming foundation work.

Progress like this doesn’t happen without strong coordination in the field. It’s been a productive first quarter across our jobsites, and we’re looking forward to keeping things moving as these projects continue to develop in the coming months.

Construction is underway on a new dog daycare facility in Downtown Evanston!

This project includes the interior demolition of a former bank space and a 5,000-SF build-out for Dogtopia’s newest daycare location. Demolition is already complete, with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-ins currently in progress as the space begins to come together.

We’re also excited to be working again with Cullen Construction Management, who is serving as Construction Manager on the project. We look forward to collaborating with them again as work continues on this new facility.

Continuing our , we’re looking back at a pivotal moment as the company entered a new era of leadership.

By the end of the 1960s, Doyle experienced a defining transition as leadership passed to the next generation. In 1969, Bob Doyle succeeded his father as President, just nine years after joining the company and helping guide its shift into commercial construction. With the next generation now leading the business, Doyle continued building on the strong foundation Edward had established decades earlier.

The following year, in 1970, Bob relocated the company’s operations to his family home, where he and his wife, Judy, ran the business together while raising their family. During this time, Doyle remained a true family operation—built on hard work, dedication, and a shared commitment to keep the business growing for the future.

The Doyle team hit the range for our recent s***t shooting outing. 🎯

Some friendly competition, plenty of good conversation, and a chance to reset made for a great morning. It’s always a good time when we can connect outside the day-to-day and enjoy something a little different together.

Thank you to Glen Oak Country Club for hosting us and creating a memorable experience!

Construction of Forge Virtual Studios in Hanover Park is now complete, bringing the Midwest’s largest and most advanced virtual production facility to the region! This adaptive reuse project features the complete transformation of a former warehouse building, allowing Forge to exponentially expand their footprint. Designed to support production companies, agencies, and marketers, the reimagined facility empowers teams to turn ideas into bold storytelling.

The new 30,000-SF space features a robust Studio A with an 82’ x 16’ LED wall and a versatile Studio B with a 25’ x 13’ LED wall, supported by expansive, high-end production spaces and functional filmmaking amenities. The comprehensive interior transformation includes fully equipped production offices and tech-enabled conference rooms, multiple green rooms and restrooms, and creatively repurposed shipping containers serving as editing and production suites, VIP lounges, entertainment areas, and catering spaces.

From the beginning, the Doyle team worked alongside Forge to help identify a building that could support their vision. As the design-builder for this project, we selected Charles Vincent George (CVG) Architects as our partner, ensuring the space would be thoughtfully designed to support day-to-day production activity while providing flexible studio environments for Forge and other creative teams. This project represents what’s possible when vision, creativity, and collaboration align and we’re proud to have helped bring this one to life!
