Power And Control, Inc. is proud to support Mark Rathburn and his mission to help the Afghan families who stood beside American service members during the war.

These interpreters, guides and support personnel placed themselves—and their families—in grave danger to assist and protect Americans. Our country gave many of them every reason to believe that their loyalty and sacrifice would be honored with protection.

Whatever one believes about ending the war, there is no excuse for the chaotic manner in which the Biden administration executed the final withdrawal. The collapse culminated in the horrifying attack at Abbey Gate, where an ISIS-K su***de bomber murdered 13 American service members and approximately 170 Afghan civilians. Although more than 124,000 people were evacuated, far too many trusted Afghan partners were left behind to face Taliban retaliation, persecution, imprisonment and possible death.

Some people may defend the decision to leave Afghanistan, but ending a war did not require abandoning people who risked everything for us. America made a moral commitment to these families, and failing to keep that commitment was not merely a political mistake—it was a betrayal.

We generally avoid politics on our business page, but this issue is bigger than party politics. It is about honor, loyalty and keeping America’s word. Mark is a veteran and an American hero who has chosen to continue serving by helping the families our government failed to protect. We are honored to stand behind him and encourage others to support this vital mission.
