It’s time again
Stage 2 Fire Restrictions are now in place for Whitefish, Glacier National Park, Flathead Country, Flathead National Forest and pretty much everywhere else in northwest Montana.
That means:
❌ No campfires. None. Zilch.
❌ No smoking except within an enclosed vehicle/building or cleared area
❌ No internal combustion engines, welding, open flames, explosives, or driving off designated roads/trails from 1pm-1am.

Northwest Montana is currently in Extreme Fire Danger and experiencing drought conditions contributing to extremely dry forest fuels. Forecasts for above normal temperatures accompanied by low humidity, increased wind, and minimal precipitation all contribute to Extreme Fire Danger.
