🎉 MAJOR MILESTONE ACHIEVED! 🎉
A huge milestone has been reached on the BNR projects — the team has officially completed the major concrete placements on the BNR structure! 💪🦺
This accomplishment reflects the collective effort of everyone involved and showcases the dedication that has gone into positioning the BNR projects for success. Some impressive highlights from this journey include:
✅ First hours charged on the BNR projects on May 2, 2024
✅ 589 days of work averaging 510 man-hours per day — equivalent to about 57 people working 9 hours a day for more than 18 months with no days off
✅ More than 300,000 manhours logged across all BNR projects
✅ Earliest start time: 2:00 AM | Latest finish time: 11:45 PM
✅24,400 CY of concrete have been placed on the BNR Structure to date

Whether directly involved in concrete placement or supporting the work behind the scenes, every individual demonstrated the company’s core values of Safety, Integrity, Teamwork, Excellence, and Results day in and day out.
This milestone was recently recognized with a team lunch and commemorative t‑shirts to celebrate the hard work and commitment it took to reach this point.

Great showing by Wildcat Companies at the Kansas Contractors Association Convention in Kansas City!

Josh Smith wrapped up his term as Board Chair for the KCA, and Roger McClellan was elected as a new Board member.

It’s hard to imagine our office without her, but the time has come to celebrate Joan Reed Haaga's retirement! Since 2007, she has been the heart of our day-to-day operations and a big reason for our success. From keeping everything running smoothly to always being there when we needed her, she truly made a difference. We’ll miss her dearly and wish her a retirement filled with joy, rest, and everything she loves. Congratulations! 🎉

The 2025 end-of-year meeting was a big one — it was the first time all employees from all Kansas companies gathered together. It was a great reminder that we’re stronger and more successful when we work as one team. Roger McClellan talked about the power of sharing resources and crews across companies to get the job done right.
Our safety manager, Cy, led us through a stretch-and-flex session, reinforcing the importance of starting every day focused on safety. Wildcat is proud of our employees and the teamwork that drives our success.

Wildcat Construction was proud to sponsor this year’s Build My Future (BMF) event hosted by the Wichita Area Builders Association! Now in its 3rd year, the event brought together more than 1,300 students and educators from local high schools for lunch and hands-on learning about workforce development and careers in construction.
Tyler Dehn and Gaspar Castillo represented Wildcat, speaking with students about the importance of safety in our industry. They even hosted a fun “PPE Race,” where students competed to quickly gear up with a hard hat, vest, safety glasses, and gloves — all for bragging rights and a prize!
Investing in our future workforce strengthens our entire community, and we’re grateful to be part of it.

Early mornings. Big pours. An epic view.

Danny Pierce and Paul Dreiling’s crews were on site at 3 a.m., pouring 250 cubic yards of concrete between two wall sections on the BNR (Biological Nutrient Removal) Structure at the wastewater treatment plant.

To date, we've poured over 16,000 cubic yards—that’s about 64 million pounds of concrete! 💪 What a milestone!

Huge shout-out to the Wildcat team for going above and beyond!

🚧 Bridge Work in Action! Check out this awesome photo from a recent concrete pour on a bridge over I-35/KTA—just a few miles south of the Belle Plaine service area. Crews are working hard to redeck and raise the bridge carrying E. 50th Ave. N. traffic over the Turnpike in Sumner County. Big thanks to Wildcat Construction Co., Inc. for their partnership to make it happen!
