In this short video, Professor Foreman compares a typical builder floor system with the floor system shown in this Paul Gray Homes example: 18″ trusses spaced 19.2″ on center, compared with 16″ trusses spaced 24″ on center.
That’s 12.5% taller trusses and 25% more trusses per 8 feet of repeating spacing. Actual truss designs vary by project.
