JSG Corporation

JSG Corporation At J.S.G., we offer civil construction services along with fill dirt, topsoil, SoilBuilder compost, recycled concrete and recycled asphalt products.

The Massie family has provided construction services since 1947 when Gary’s father started his first company with a single bulldozer – working in a shop off Jefferson Avenue, living in the space above his office. Now, three generations of Massie family and their team have brought together their talents and passion for the construction industry building a firm with an unbeatable reputation. This wo

rk is in our DNA, along with high value on safety, quality and integrity. Sisters, Caitlin King, President, and Erin Hogge, Vice President, are continuing the Massie family heritage with J.S.G. Corporation. Over the years our mine work has been augmented with full service civil contracting, yet our goals remain the same: Protect personnel and our working environment, and prevent any loss of company or customer assets – safety is central in everything we do. And as we tackle the most deadline-driven and challenging projects, our quality and commitment never waivers.

At J.S.G., safety isn't just a policy—it's a core value.

Recently, our team gathered for a comprehensive review of our Safety Handbook, discussing procedures, expectations, and best practices that help keep everyone safe both on the jobsite and on the road. These meetings are an important opportunity to share knowledge, ask questions, and reinforce our commitment to looking out for one another.

We're proud of our employees for their engagement and dedication to maintaining a safe work environment every day. A strong safety culture starts with education, communication, and teamwork.

Thank you to our team for making safety a priority.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

For our family, this day is especially personal as we remember our cousin, Cory Palmer, who made the ultimate sacrifice on May 6, 2006 while fighting for our nation.

We are proud to share this tribute from the Marine Reconnaissance Foundation in his memory. Cory’s courage, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Today, we honor Cory and all of our fallen heroes. Please take a moment to remember those who gave everything for the freedoms we enjoy every day.

Cory is a loved and respected teammate who is not forgotten.

Never above you
Never below you
Always by your side

This Mother’s Day feels especially meaningful for the J.S.G. family. ❤️

After more than 50 years in construction accounting and management, Linda Massie officially retired on May 1. Throughout the years, Linda helped guide J.S.G. with steady leadership, thoughtful planning, and a deep commitment to both our employees and our community. ()

But to us, she is so much more than a leader. She is the heart of our family — a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, mentor, and friend. The values she and Gary instilled in our family continue to shape J.S.G. every single day.

As we celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, we also celebrate Linda and the incredible impact she has had on our company, our family, and our community.

Please join us in wishing Linda a happy retirement and a very Happy Mother’s Day!

Epitaph

When I die
Give what’s left of me away
To children
And old men that wait to die.

And if you need to cry,
Cry for your brother
Walking the street beside you.
And when you need me,
Put your arms
Around anyone
And give them
What you need to give to me.

I want to leave you something,
Something better
Than words
Or sounds.

Look for me
In the people I’ve known
Or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live on in your eyes
And not your mind.

You can love me most
By letting
Hands touch hands,
By letting bodies touch bodies,
And by letting go
Of children
That need to be free.

Love doesn’t die,
People do.
So, when all that’s left of me
Is love,
Give me away.
