Friday was National Tattoo Day, and what better way to celebrate than with tattoos! 🎉 Willoughby Works welcomed Glitzy Girls Body Art, who brought a fantastic selection of glitter and temporary tattoos for everyone to enjoy. Individuals had so much fun choosing their favorite designs and proudly showing them off. It was a day filled with smiles, creativity, and plenty of sparkling fun!

Congratulations to Ray – Employee of the Quarter!

Willoughby Works is proud to recognize Ray as our Employee of the Quarter!
Ray has been a valued member of the Willoughby Works team since August 2007. Over the years, he has contributed to a variety of important jobs, including packaging lens wipes for Volk and packaging tabs for Hi-Tech. Ray's outstanding work has not gone unnoticed. One of our customers, Euclid Chemical, recognized his dedication and exceptional performance by featuring him in their annual newsletter.
After exploring several community employment opportunities, Ray successfully transitioned into a group employment position at Laketran Fleet. He now works there two days a week, where he helps keep the buses clean and ready for service. The other three days each week, Ray continues to be an important part of the team at Willoughby Works.
Ray consistently arrives ready to work, takes pride in completing his tasks, and demonstrates a strong work ethic every day. His dedication, reliability, and positive attitude make him a valued employee and an excellent example of what it means to be part of the Willoughby Works team.

Willoughby Works Summer Fair

Earlier in June, Willoughby Works hosted a fun-filled fair for the individuals from Willoughby Works and Imagine. The event featured a petting zoo, face painting, games, a cookout, colored hair spray, a magician, an ice cream truck, and a photo booth. Everyone received tickets and a bag to collect their prizes throughout the day.

Laughter, smile and high fives were everywhere as friends enjoyed spending time together, the weather, participating in the many activities. The fair was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to have fun, make memories, and celebrate friendship. By the end of the day, it was clear that everyone had a blast!

The students enjoyed learning about the opportunities and services we provide at Willoughby Works, and our individuals loved sharing information about the jobs they complete each day and the skills needed to complete them. Willoughby Works was honored to serve as a stop for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.

The bikers were welcomed by everyone at Willoughby Works and community members standing outside with cheers, signs, flags, and lots of smiles as they continued their journey in support of Special Olympics.

Willoughby Works volunteers with Lake County Council on Aging Meals on Wheels by delivering meals to community members who may not be able to get out to the store. They also have Pet Meals on Wheels and Willoughby Works is sponsoring a pet food drive for those with pets! If you would like to donate dog or cat food please drop off at Willoughby Works or JCR Imagine by June 17th. The animals will be very happy for your donation, and their humans thank you very much!

They were then put into decorated boxes to take home over the weekend to give to someone special. Soon there will be spots of blooms popping up all around!
