Another shipment of Curbstar chargers is leaving the factory, expanding our network by ten new plugs. Proud to bring service to Sussex County, Delaware.

Three years ago I started working on a problem: why is it so expensive to deploy EV charging? Infrastructure shouldn’t require tearing up half a property or upgrading an entire building’s electrical system.

Curbstar, our patented utility-side Level 2 charger, draws electricity directly from a transformer instead of a customer structure. That eliminates costly electrical upgrades and dramatically reduces construction.

This approach changes the economics of EV charging for commercial properties and multi-family housing with constrained electrical capacity, and opens the door for deployment in places where sourcing power from a building simply isn’t practical.

Curbstar also answers one of the biggest unsolved challenges in transportation: how to provide convenient overnight charging at an affordable price point for lower-income and opportunity communities without off-street parking.

Proud moment for OmniPotential Energy Partners.

In December, we completed our first commercial deployment of Curbstar. In January, we closed a $70,000 multi unit project in Seaford, Delaware. Three years to the first customer, three weeks to the second. The flywheel is turning.

Curbstar was built to solve one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption, reliable, affordable charging where people actually live and work, especially in commercial and multifamily settings that have been priced out by traditional deployment models.

Grateful for the mentors and partners who helped us get here, including the Delaware SBDC, whose guidance helped turn early traction into real momentum.

I was honored to attend a Business Roundtable last Friday with Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services, Admiral Rachel Levine, Sen. Sarah McBride and 20 of Delawares finest leaders in the Business community to discuss the professional state of LGBTQIA+ Delawareans. We are fortunate that the first state is a state of neighbors and business leaders are working hard with elected leadership to promote LGBTQIA+ equality, but our work is not finished.
Business leaders not only in Delaware but across the US (and world) should recognize the value in employing underemployed communities to provide the opportunities that that they need to overcome generational disadvantage, cultural and social bias and systemic inequality.
