Salty Bay Builders is proud to share the completion of our latest project in Wilmington, NC.

This home was thoughtfully designed to blend high-quality craftsmanship with the relaxed feel of coastal living. Inside, we installed French oak flooring throughout, complemented by custom hickory cabinetry and quartz countertops that bring both warmth and durability to the space. Craftsman-style trim and classic stile and rail doors carry a clean, timeless look throughout the home. The primary bathroom features a steam shower finished with detailed herringbone tile, creating a refined and comfortable retreat.

On the exterior, the home is finished with James Hardie Boothbay Blue board and batten siding, giving it a distinct coastal character with long-lasting performance. Large front porches were built for true coastal living—ideal for catching breezes and extending everyday living outdoors—while tongue and groove porch ceilings add a polished, traditional touch overhead.

We also integrated a power over Ethernet (PoE) security system, providing a reliable, efficient solution for modern home monitoring without compromising the home’s clean design.

This project is a great example of combining timeless materials, detailed craftsmanship, and functional design, all tailored to the Wilmington coastal lifestyle.

Salty Bay Builders transformed another outdoor space in Wilmington, NC

We recently completed a full demo and rebuild, replacing an old deck with a brand new 243 sq ft screened in porch and a 235 sq ft open deck designed for both comfort and durability.

This project features Trex decking for long lasting performance, James Hardie cement siding for a clean and resilient exterior, and a PVC shiplap ceiling that brings the porch together.

The result is a functional, low maintenance outdoor space perfect for relaxing or entertaining year.

Salty Bay Builders is pleased to announce the successful completion of a comprehensive kitchen remodel project in Wilmington, North Carolina. This renovation was designed to enhance both the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the home while addressing key structural and system upgrades.

A major component of the project involved the safe removal of an existing load-bearing wall. This structural modification significantly improved the layout by creating an open-concept living space, allowing for better flow, increased natural light, and improved connectivity between the kitchen and adjoining areas.

Throughout the home, new flooring was installed, providing a cohesive and updated look while improving durability and ease of maintenance. Salty Bay Builders is making great progress on our Coastal ADU project here in Wilmington. We just wrapped up installation of the pre-finished James Hardie siding in the beautiful Boothbay Blue color, and it looks incredible. The crisp lines and coastal tone are already bringing this accessory dwelling unit to life and giving it that classic, clean coastal character.

Up next, we’ll be moving into the railing installation, along with the porch ceilings and decking. These finishing details will really elevate the exterior and tie everything together. Stay tuned as this Coastal ADU continues to take shape!
