If you see Eli at your home or in the shop on Fridays, you’ll notice he’s wearing red.
It’s not just a uniform choice, it’s a deeply personal commitment to R.E.D: Remember Everyone Deployed. With Memorial Day weekend here, we asked Eli to share what this tradition means to him:
“I wear red every Friday to ‘Remember Everyone Deployed.’ I served nearly a decade in the U.S. Marine Corps, including four deployments to the Middle East. This practice honors the memory of friends, both American service members and locals who never returned home, physically or spiritually, as well as currently serving troops deployed.
My service included three tours in Iraq: the first to the Haditha Triad with the 2nd Battalion, Third Marine Regiment, where we lost 23 men, and the second to Fallujah, where we lost 3. This Memorial Day, I honor their memory, as well as the locals who died fighting Al Qaeda and ISIS, as the Middle East profoundly shaped who I am. I continue to wear red every Friday to honor those who deploy in the defense of our nation and allies.”
We are incredibly proud to have Eli’s leadership, heart, and service on our team. Please join us this weekend in remembering the true meaning of Memorial Day and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇸 💚
