Role Summary:

The team member will play an integral role in the growth and success of the venture, with responsibilities of leading the maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities. With the support of the President and Lead Extrusion Operator will work to develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule and work order system.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair machinery and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or process issues to determine likely root cause and work with operators to create a repair plan.
• Make mechanical or electrical adjustments to equipment or processes.
• Perform set-up and changeover on equipment or processes.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Record maintenance, problems, and repairs in physical documents or online system.
• Clean work area to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
• Minimum high school diploma, associate’s degree or higher preferred
• Field related technical education is acceptable
• Previous maintenance experience
• Previous manufacturing experience a plus
• Must be able to communicate effectively with peers and management in verbal, written, or e-mail form
• Maintenance, safety, or manufacturing certifications a plus
• Lean/Six Sigma Training or experience a plus
• Must have flexible work schedule
• Read, write, and perform math at a high school level or above
• Read blueprints, workflow diagrams, part drawings, and machinery schematics
Physical Demands:
• Use fingers, hands, and arms to lift, reach, move, and examine equipment.
• Stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, or crouch.
• Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to chemicals, moving mechanical parts, heat, and moderate noise.
• Adhere to PPE guidelines for work.
