East County Library in Gresham, Oregon has officially opened its doors to the public! This 95,000-square-foot mass timber building is now one of the largest libraries in Multnomah County, featuring a 200-seat auditorium, creative learning spaces, an AV/podcast studio, sensory rooms, a rooftop terrace, and so much more. We’re thrilled the community finally gets to experience this incredible space!

Our scopes included framing, insulation, drywall, taping, ACT, weather barrier and exterior claddings.

On this day of remembrance, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, and to recognize the families and loved ones who carry their legacy forward. We are grateful for the sacrifices made in the pursuit of freedom and the greater good.

WPI will be closed today, and we hope everyone takes time to reflect and spend the day with friends and family.

Progress is flying at PDX! With new areas now open to the public, travelers will experience a smoother, more seamless transition from gate to baggage claim. These upgrades arrive just in time for the busy summer travel season, when passenger volumes ramp up across the airport. We hope everyone enjoys their next visit to PDX!

Construction Safety Week has arrived, and we’re always happy to celebrate safety! This year’s message is simple: Recognize. Respond. Respect. Stay alert to recognize potential hazards, respond when something doesn’t look right, and respect the process, the risks, and the people around you.

At WPI, our core values guide everything we do, and there’s a reason safety comes first. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of everyone on or near our job sites. Every day, we take steps to protect our teams and partners by providing the tools, equipment, and plans that keep safety at the forefront.

We had a BLAST celebrating Bring Your Kid to Work Day last Thursday! The day was packed with fun games, hands-on activities, and plenty of pizza.

Our Eugene team recently completed the buildout of a new PacificSource PACE facility in Springfield, Oregon. PACE, short for Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly, provides care and essential services that help older individuals with complex needs remain at home and avoid nursing homes. The facility is equipped with a variety of amenities such as a gym, hair studio, treatment rooms, and more. WPI is proud to have delivered a space that will serve as a comfortable, supportive, and healing environment for individuals in our community.

Our scopes included framing, drywall, insulation, ACT, and wall protection.

We’re incredibly proud to share that our Chief Financial Officer, Michelle Baer, was recently appointed to the Executive Committee of the AWCI - Association of the Wall and Ceiling Industry.

AWCI is a cornerstone of our industry, and Michelle’s appointment reflects both her exceptional leadership and the respect she has earned among her peers. Following a rigorous nomination and selection process, Michelle’s appointment is a powerful recognition of her influence in the industry and a proud milestone for WPI. In AWCI’s 108-year history, only one other woman has served on the Executive Committee.

Beautiful things are happening at St. Joseph’s Parish in Salem, Oregon. Plaster work, frescoes, and reclaimed wood from the original church will all play a large part in this restoration. Our plaster team has been hard at work preparing surfaces for the fresco artist and completing detailed repairs throughout the interior. Meanwhile, our coatings team has been carefully prepping and staining the reclaimed wood in anticipation of installation.

St. Joseph’s suffered a devastating fire in 2023, and we’re honored to help bring such a meaningful building back to life.

Near the end of 2025, two of WPI’s divisions received ICG Bronze Medallions in recognition of their advancements in the industrialized construction ecosystem. Western Advanced Integration earned the medallion in November 2025, followed by WPI PreFab just one month later in December. This is an outstanding accomplishment and a testament to the hard work both teams have invested to ensure the highest-quality systems are upheld across their facilities and daily operations.
