Sara recently stepped into The University of Colorado Boulder's Applied Biomechanics Lab for gait testing with the Quatro Socket.

Equipped with motion tracking sensors, Sara walked on a treadmill while researchers captured detailed data on her movement and walking patterns. This testing allows the team to evaluate gait symmetry and better understand how the Quatro performs during real movement.

New clinical research puts adjustable socket technology to the test.

In a randomized controlled trial comparing three commercially available adjustable volume transfemoral sockets, Quatro had the lowest reported abandonment rate during acclimation.

When successfully fitted, Quatro also showed improvements in utility, ambulation, social burden, fit, feel, and sitting comfort compared with participants’ conventional laminated sockets.

The findings add to the growing clinical evidence surrounding adjustable socket technology and its potential to positively impact comfort, mobility, and prosthetic utility.

When adjustable transfemoral sockets were independently put to the test, the Quatro Socket delivered.

A new DoD-funded randomized clinical trial published in PM&R by Gates et al. evaluated adjustable-volume transfemoral sockets across the University of Michigan and Rosalind Franklin University.

The result we’re proud of: the study’s only significant functional difference favored the Quatro. Participants walked farther on the Narrow Beam Walk Test with the Quatro Socket than with a competing adjustable design.

The Quatro Socket also achieved the highest fitting success rate among the adjustable sockets evaluated.

Because a socket only works when a patient can wear it and keep wearing it.
