Following nearly ten years of product development and over 116 independent tests and studies, we are delighted to introduce you the newest generation of BamCore’s code compliant Prime Wall system. BamCore has been privately working to develop a game-changing technology that replaces traditional structural framing based on wood studs with a stronger and more sustainable bamboo-based panelized wall system. Now, BamCore’s products are driving a paradigm shift in Western building by creating an entirely new approach to residential and low-rise commercial construction that will result in building stronger, faster, greener and less expensive buildings. And unlike any other building system, BamCore delivers a uniquely promising carbon footprint by reducing thermal bridging from wood studs, which significantly improves thermal performance, and by promoting direct carbon sequestration through the demand-driven scalable expansion of timber bamboo planting.
The Code Complaint BamCore Prime Wall System consists of four laminated veneer bamboo layers that are ¼" thick and wrapped with 1/8ʺDouglas Fir veneers on both faces for an overall thickness of 1¼” which are then set on wood bottom and top plates in the field. The panelized Prime Wall system eliminates about 90% of wood studs, headers and posts in a structure to reduce thermal bridging and air leakage, which saves operating dollars year after year. Wall thickness can be increased from an equivalent of 2×6 up to 2×12 for almost nothing more than the cost of the extra insulation.
