Yesterday, we had the honor of standing alongside our community, city officials, and the police force for the ribbon cutting of Winfield's brand-new Police Station & Civic Center—a project that truly belongs to the community!
From the very beginning, this building was designed to reflect our town’s resilient past and bright future. That’s why we incorporated local limestone into the facade, along with burnished block and limestone details throughout the interior—materials that speak to the strength and character of this place we love to call home.
This project wasn’t just about bricks and mortar (or, in this case, limestone and mortar😉). It was about collaboration, community, and creating a space that serves our town for generations to come. Seeing the excitement at the ribbon cutting reminded us how special this project is—not just for us as architects, but for everyone who calls Winfield home.
A huge THANK YOU to our incredible community, city officials and workers, and our local law enforcement for your support and engagement throughout this project. We couldn’t have done it without you! 💙

Agora Architecture has a rich history of quality designed, lasting architectural projects as well as professional Architects on staff. This history will continue as it shapes our future. The Project Architects of Agora are - David Herlocker, Cheri Hulse and Karen Klein. MacKenzie Witzke is the Business Administrator. In addition to the four owners, Agora has added to the team an Architectural Designer, Hannah Grammon.

A traditional agora, in early Greek history, is a space defined by surrounding architecture, often a plaza, where people would come together to exchange and discuss ideas and work together to coordinate new endeavors. Architecture in Ancient Greece strove to be well planned, well executed, and long lasting. As a company we strive not only to create designs that embody these ideals, but to create lasting relationships and continue to be a part of our community culture. Agora Architectural Design is the common ground where people and ideas come together. Agora will continue the Company’s 1924 founding of solid reputation and professional practice. As always, we are here to provide an array of Architectural expertise, experience and creative thinking as an integral part of future ideas and endeavors to meet the varied needs of the people in the communities we serve.
