As National Safety Month comes to a close, we would like to thank everyone who plays a role in making safety a priority at Vortech Contracting.

🦺 PPE Reminder

Personal Protective Equipment is one of the simplest ways we can help reduce risk and protect ourselves on the job.

From hard hats and safety glasses to gloves, high-visibility clothing, and proper footwear, PPE is designed to help protect us from the everyday hazards we may encounter in the field.

A few reminders:
- Wear the appropriate PPE for the task at hand
- Inspect your equipment before use
- Replace damaged or worn PPE when needed
- Follow site-specific requirements
- Look out for your crew and speak up if something doesn't seem right

Good habits help create a safer work environment for everyone. Taking a few extra moments to ensure you're properly equipped can make a big difference throughout the workday.

As temperatures continue to rise, heat stress remains one of the most serious hazards workers face in the field.

Staying hydrated, taking breaks, recognizing the warning signs, and looking out for your crew can make all the difference. Heat-related illnesses can develop quickly, but they are preventable when we stay aware and take the proper precautions.

💧 Hydrate regularly throughout the day
🌳 Take breaks in shaded or cool areas
⚠️ Know the signs of heat stress
👷 Look out for your coworkers

Remember: Don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink water.

At Vortech Contracting, safety is more than a policy—it's a commitment we make every day. From the office to the field, creating a safe work environment takes teamwork, communication, and a shared dedication to looking out for one another.

Throughout the month of June, we'll be sharing safety reminders, best practices, and ways we can all contribute to a stronger safety culture.
