In an impressive display of efficiency and teamwork, we loaded not one, not two, but THREE passenger cars onto flatcars for Westbound transport to their new owner in just 4 hours! Make sure you check out the Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad page and see how you can help these cars back to glory!

Tomorrow we will be adding additional tie-downs, then it will be Class 1 inspection time. Passing all that, they will finally be ready to start the first step (roll?) towards their new home and lease on life.

We wish them the best and know they will be in capable hands. We can't wait to see the results! We hope to visit and ride them ourselves soon!

With all the holiday excitement and time spent with our families, we totally forgot to finish this announcement- the winner of the poll for our shop cats name is Chessie! We feel it fits purrfectly and she already is sporting a classy collar tag.

She is back at work after her surgery and convalescence leave, and is busy hanging out in the shop with us and has been seen catching a mouse or two, so good to know she is earning her keep!

The vet says she is about 6 months old.
