Last week, we were proud to join Forsyth Technical Community College for the LEAP signing event recognizing the next group of employees beginning their apprenticeship journey with Ziehl-Abegg.

Employee Spotlight: Andrew Valko — Leading Maintenance Excellence
Andrew Valko has been helping keep operations running at Ziehl-Abegg US for over three years as a Lead Maintenance Technician.
Each day, Andrew supports production by:
âś” Leading maintenance teams and assigning tasks
âś” Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues
âś” Minimizing downtime during equipment failures
âś” Supporting new technology and process improvements
Andrew describes our workplace culture as collaborative, driven, and supportive.
What motivates him?
“The feeling of fixing an issue quickly and keeping production moving.”
He’s also proud to be part of major advancements like the Aumann automated stator line.

We’re proud to welcome seven new apprentices to the Ziehl-Abegg team through our apprenticeship program in partnership with Guilford Apprenticeship Partners (GAP).

Tuesday’s signing ceremony marked an important first step for Edwin Rodriguez, Gabriel Rosales, Ahsan Khan, Teshome Arifu, Brodie Scheland, Jonah Martin, and Geovanny Hernandez-Lopez.

The apprenticeship program gives participants the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable technical skills, and build a strong foundation for a career in manufacturing. We’re excited to support this new group as they learn, grow, and contribute to the work happening across Ziehl-Abegg.

Thank you to Layel Burton, our Workforce Partnership Manager and Chair of GAP, and Magema Lusamba for their continued support of the program.

We are excited to announce the promotion of Elizabeth Minehart to Marketing Director – Americas at Ziehl-Abegg!

Since joining Ziehl-Abegg in 2023, Elizabeth has played a key role in building and expanding our marketing function across North and South America. Under her leadership, the team has grown into a regional organization supporting multiple markets, product divisions, and strategic initiatives throughout the Americas.

In her new role, Elizabeth will lead marketing strategy and ex*****on across the region, working closely with leadership teams to strengthen the Ziehl-Abegg brand, support business growth, and increase collaboration across our markets.

We are excited to announce Bruno Costa as Business Development Manager – Americas at Ziehl-Abegg!

After more than 16 years with Ziehl-Abegg do Brasil, Bruno has relocated with his family to Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to help lead our next phase of growth across the Americas.

Bruno will focus on expanding our customer base and identifying new business opportunities across the region. While his initial efforts will center on the food and energy markets, his mission is to help drive sustainable growth across all market segments.

We are excited to announce Marc Hirsch's appointment as Regional Data Center Transformation Project Manager - North America at Ziehl-Abegg!

Since joining Ziehl-Abegg in 2016, Marc has built a strong foundation through technical sales, regional sales leadership, and his work leading the Drive Division in North America. His technical expertise, customer focus, and collaborative leadership have made him an invaluable part of our team.

In his new role, Marc will lead North America's efforts for Ziehl-Abegg's global Data Center Transformation project, serving as the key connection between our regional operations and the global project management team. He will also continue to support the growth of our elevator business, ensuring continuity while helping drive one of the company's most significant strategic investments.
