The AIAA Carolina Section and the AIAA USC Student Branch hosted a program entitled "Backyard Astronomy and Astrophotography" at the University of South Carolina-Columbia on Monday 24 February 2025. The guest speaker was Mr. Tim Stevenson (the backyard astronomer). There were 21 attendees including 18 students. After the presentation we toured the historic USC Melton Observatory and were treated to view of Jupiter and Mars. It was a perfect evening for viewing!
